UC Regents discuss budget, possible fee increases   10/01/2009

The proposal discussed by the Regents recommends the following mid-year fee increase in 2009-10 to take effect with the spring semester:

- $585 for resident undergraduates, and between $579 and $654 for resident graduate students
- For a full academic year, the fee increase for resident undergraduate students would be $1,170, and the increase for resident graduate students would range from $1,158 to $1,308

Budget cut causes California State Universities to deny student applicants for the Spring quarter of 2010   08/26/2009

Because of the 2009-10 $584 million budget cut from California State Universities, campuses will not accept student applications for the 2010 spring. Their decision to close the spring admissions is part of its overall strategy to reduce student enrollment to cope with the 20% reduction in state funding. Universities of California ask students to report ALL SAT Reasoning Test Scores   08/26/2009

Contrary to common belief, the UC system still requires that students submit all their scores in order to be considered for acceptance. Some colleges, such as Stanford, Cornell, Pomona, the UPENN, and USC have openly expressed that they need all the scores submitted. Please call your nearest ACI branch for more information.

Increase state and UC grant funds   07/23/2009

Cal Grants for UC students will increase by $27 million in 2009-10 and UC grants will increase by $39 million due to the university's practice of setting aside 33 percent of all undergraduate fee increase revenue for grants to needy students.

College Admissions results are out and our students have received excellent news! Our students have been offered admissions to many outstanding schools including, Stanford, Harvard, Georgetown, U Penn, Cornell, Dartmouth, Yale, Duke, Northwestern, USC, UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UCSD. Several full scholarships were awarded. Congratulations to all of you!

New ACI Policy   05/19/2009

New Policy: Starting for the Class of 2012, the SAT II will be considered (but not required) for the UC system. However, certain SAT II tests are recommended for particular majors and most private schools will still require SAT II tests.
